Prior to the games Ba's are displayed in shop windows

These are the first three Ba photographs to be uploaded live onto the internet shortly after 10am on Christmas Day 2004

This is the earliest known Ba photograph taken shortly before 2pm on  Christmas Day 1898 . It was taken by Thomas Mcgregor and a copy was on display in his shop window less than two hours after it was taken .

This is a  photograph of the Stromness Ba game from Christmas Day 1923 it was abandoned the following year

This photograph shows the Uppie goal on New Years Day 1907

Almost all the men are wearing caps  spectators and players as this photograph from Christmas Day 1911 shows
